Toolbar Impact Cassette Units - Specifications
  • Where are these units to be used?

In general, Wilatt Conveyors Inc. personnel suggests that these units be employed in those areas rated for CEMA C and CEMA D class impact rolls (bar units). Due to the rigid nature of these units, heavy impact areas CEMA E class and up should utilize impact roll idlers or impact roll cassette units.

Excessive heavy impact damages belt cover and weakens belt carcass Sharp material causes nicks and cuts in the belt.

Impact bar cassette units should also be used in those areas which have fine material. Since these units offer constant support over a specified length, there is protection against material migrating under skirtboards. If idler units are used in these areas, and the spacing is too far apart, these fines can cause the belt to deflect and find their way under skirtboards. The result from this would be spillage at the load point;

i.e.: loss of man-hours for clean-up potential safety hazard
